Body wise, check for rust around the boot lock, rear wiper and at the bottom of the spoiler also around the front of the bonnet above the windscreen and make sure that the B pillars arnt cracked,if they are dont worry bout it to much as most corsas whether there the GSI or not will have cracks here at some point, as for the engine i'm not sure as my first one had the XE conversion.

mine has been a great car.

Bought in July '99 with 41K miles. Now at over 114K miles. It's only in the last few months that it's beginning to show its age. I've recently been through a new water pump, new clutch and a new PAS pump.

GSi's are awesome, I love mine. I'd just say what the people above have said:

Check bottom of doors for any signs of rust. Also check sills for any signs of rust. Engine bay is a little cluttered, but take time to check out engine for leaks etc. EGR valves are a common fault (and a headache to change), but no more common than on any other newish Vauxhall.

Service history is worth checking as with any car.

A good buy fella! Get one snapped up and go find some B roads!
