Just found out that the end of my amp wire is too big for my amp. I recently bought a genesis amp profile 4 but the clip on the end of the amp wire is too big. As i going to start the job 2morow would it be a good idea to hammer the clip until it fits or somehow replace the end clip???

is it a large fork terminal?
if so either crimp on a slightly smaller one, or lop off one of the prongs on the fork and just stick one of them in the amp connection.

Well i have so far found out the the wiring kit i bought is 4gauge and my amp will only take 8 gauge or smaller i think. So far i have been recommended to either:

1) file down or hammer the loop terminal until it fits

2) Replace the terminal with an 8 gauge

3) Buy a distribution block.

I am really tempted to go with option one first and it that doesnt work then i will work on option 2.
