My cars due for a service, does anyone know how much (roughly) it's gonna cost.
Corsa C SXi, 2.75 years old, 35k on clock, had two services already. I'm prob gonna want the cam belt changing as well.
Also, what exactly do they do/change in a service?

Think you should probably ask Vaux mate, I was gonna get mine done on my zetec at 60,000 miles but Ford reckoned its fine up to 100k
While your asking them, you could find out what else they do for a 35k mile service, and how much its going to cost ?!

Finally found a number for them........apparently the 1.2 16v engines are chain driven so don't need a cam change??
They change oil and filter and do a full report on the car (Basically check everything, from bulbs to suspension)
£128 inc Vat

iv just paid 90 quid, for oil and filter, fuel filter, plugs, leads, bulbs, to fix a hole in the exhaust, change a c.v. boot and fit new springs, that was at a vaux garage, but im lucky and know someone who works there!

Chain driven timing systems are non servicable - you don't need to change them at regular intervals, unlike the famously un-reliable belt driven system they used to use

So no change at all needed EVER on my timing system then?

Apparently not... They are meant to last for ages.

Saved me some cash
bit pissed off though cos I went into local car spares other day and the guy tried selling me a full timing kit for my car for £65. Good job I didn't buy it
