Ok some one hit the back of my mums black corsa c, the total price for fittin a new bumper etc was like £223.90 i can get one from ebay for like 20 quid in same colour lol good job insurence is payin

When I claimed the bodyshop spoke directly to the insurance company. I just paid the excess to the bodyshop directly -- you don't just get a cheque mate, unless it's a total loss...

nah i wasnt expecting one, im just sayin it would save so much hassel if my parents would listen to me !


also they take there cars to vauxhall for there mots, my das just payed 400 quid for his zafira today for its mot !!

Take a written quote from the dealership and show it to the other party, offer to fix it outside insurance for half. They get to keep their NCD, your mum gets a repaired car and you get ££ for about 1 hours work.

Um, that's cos the gov't have FIXED the price of an MOT at £40.75

Everyone pays the same -- they must have had to do quite a bit of a work on the car to get it up to £400...

thats bollox my dad's last private car got its mot done at vauxhall, was an astra estate needed a lot lot more than a new set of spark plugs and it only cost him £200. your dad was seen coming!!!

If i could get my car into work i would only pay about £17.50 or something like that. Not more then £20 n e way. Dont pay for the labour.

£400 sounds i wee bit excessive for just an mot and a few parts.

vaux only charged me £35 pound for my MOT today, though the fecking car did fail
