its hard and you have to think mega hard too my bro was telling me about the interviews, as i was interested at one point because i wanted to go in as a pilot, but my bro told me how you shouldnt put anything false on the application as they will test you out - bro said that one bloke put down that he could speak german and half-way through the blokes interview one of the supervisours started asking him questions in german, to which he couldnt answer.
Again, my bro said they ask you questions that both answers they give are wrong and you have to say something else that can equal both of those answers - IE: getting permission off your sgt etc in writing, stating that you should do something etc.
But yea, good luck mate...have fun a few people on here are in the army/raf (other services) and i remember a thread i posted a few months back and lot of them said its not what you expect and that there getting out asap

Is this the aptency test? Yep its a toughie. You'll sit in a room with about 10 other entrants and supervisors will patrol between tables, occasionally taking you out of the room to ask you completely different questions based on your application and other things. what are you applying for? If pilot then they only really accept 50 out of a 1000 per year! Its costs them 2 million or similar to train a pilot so thats why.

Its just the first test. Bloke said after this you go on to decide what jobs you can apply for based on your score.

Yeah they do. They've got a list of the jobs u can do dependin on the result u get from the tests. I passed for any ground trade But they're jusat fading in this new flight line mechanic idea, i think i u2u'd u about this a while back. The ground trades are mergin into a light n heavy light = electricians and avionics, heavy = propulsion and airframes. Hope this is of help

i applead for DARA as a heavy and avio a few years ago. was accepted on both counts and i didnt take either found my aptitude test quite easy. basic mechanical questions and a basic timed handskills exercise. only thing that put me off was the apparant disorganisation of the applicatnts and the attitude of teh lecturers.
