You should check out some of the weight training newsgroups, there are 1,000'of Super Si's tryna run everyone down. Venom I trained for years in my garage and has no 'power rack' as Super Si mentions. I had a good workout Nuff said.

yes dinosaur, i've tested out working out in certain ways, with different equipment, compared certain routines, found the best way, stuck at it, put the graft in and im happy with what i have done, i also enjoy testing myself

i think super si just wants this reputation of being quite big and well built, and because hes the only forum member who posts weight training threads etc, he has made this 'boss' persona of himself, doesn't wash i'm afraid, he wil deny it, but it's true

Well I'm sure he's a great guy but his comment about the trapezius and deadlifts was a bit odd. Hence my detailed post on the muscles being used.

Heh, bodybuilding was always a thorn in my side even though I won some competitions and came runner up several times. I realised it was going nowhere and when I got into education I swapped to powerlifting, though as I 'm getting older I have become more interested in the aesthetics side again and been training in a more bodybuilder like fashion. I once appeared in the UK(european) edition of Flex in the contest reports, IFBB.

No power rack, No squat. That was all i was saying chief. The functionality of a rack is limitless.
