think i got caught by one of these. was doing 75 to in a 70 on the ring road round bristol.
Hopefully i didn't get done for this or last week when i was on the m4. otherwise its goodbye my liscense 
both times i was tryng to get to an interview on time. Silly i know but fingers crossed

I doubt it - aren't they only manned by Joe Public and not the Police??
If they had any sense, they'd be parked up from 8-9am to catch people speeding to work.

arn't they supposed to have markings on the van? one i saw parked on a layby infront of a Ploice Skoda OCtavia V RS was plain white with all black windows

Yeah the one that did me was plain white with darkened windows. Parked between normal cars in a layby parking area for houses on a main 40 limit road. Nothing I could do, by the time I saw the camera pearing out the wee tiny hatch on the back door, I'd already passed the van...
And I normally never speed too but this road is just so straight, wide and empty u don't realise ur speed unless u constantly look at the speedo.

i went to Centre Parks near Penrith on A66 last weekend, and i was driving back on the M6 and on-top of one of the bridges there was a speed-camera, he was perched facing outta the sliding door on what looked like a 'National Tyres' merc sprinter or someting (The total opposite of a police van). Hope i didnt get caught out...
