ok this gets complicated......

at present I have fully comp on my green corsa which is in my name, i have 3 years NCB comming up end of june

I have a 2nd corsa which i put in my mams name and she has TPFF on it and I drive it and my girlfriends car (and any other) covered third party under my insurance

make sense lol

anyways, my mam had to make a claim this year as my old novawas stolen and i bought the white corsa with the pay out, so her insurance has doubled (bare in mind i pay this insurance just so the car isnt stolen and can be taxed)

now, im off to uni in september and I will be taking the white corsa, and want to be insured on it

but, i want to keep the green one locked up at home for weekends/shows, and seeing as im a student dont want to be paying 2 insurance policies again as ive alread 2 MOTs, tax etc too

i think best bet is insure the white on FULLY COMP in my name, and take it to uni, and get a limited milage/off the road policy for the green 1??

any1 else have similar problems

cheers

personally you've got to get good insurance on the van - so either a standard fully comp policy or a off the road policy (if they exist?). Then the white corsa if i remember correctly isn't worth much, so either stick it in your own name 3rd party, or get your dad or someone with lots of no claims to insure it themselves, and u can drive it 3rd as you can drive any car 3rd party. Ur prob best checking a few quoets for various things on the net and working it out/
