Who does these no claim builder things, where u are insured for 9 months but get a year insurance ?

I know elephant do, anyone else ?

And are they worth it ?

not all insurance companies will accept this, elephant and admiral are the same group so they will accept if you changed between them

Ah right, so you're saying if i "built it up" with elephant, then moved to Directline or someone they might reject it ?

might do mate, need to ring them and ask. saying that i was with elephant for two years, first year had 12 month policy and 2nd year had a bonus accelerator, moved to direct line last year and did not tell them about it, just said i have 2 years full no claims and they were fine.

Hmmm, i'd probably do that anyway, just tell them it was 2 years...

Also, i have 2 years 7 months no claims... would i start again @ 2 years ?

not sure where you will stand mate, have to give them a bell and ask, but be better to get some sort of temp cover perhaps

yes it also means when you switch insurance you won;t have any no claims because you were only insured for 10 months
