the speedo out
On way home from Crail yesterday sitting at about 80 and went past a hidden Traffic T5
BUT, isnt it 70 + 10% + 2 = 79 being the small allowance they allow or something?
Also there was a car in front of me, Fiat Marea, and it was pulling away from me just before/after
Cheers

Depends on your tyres and radius of the original rim. It shouldnt be much, certainly not enough to make your speedo over-read past the manufacturers in-built inaccuracy.

You can get it corrected by a garage though, so that your speedo will show the correct speed

tyres are 205/40/17
Just curious what they would have had me at, IF they were actually pointing at me and not the Fiat infront.
Guess its 2-3 months to find out

17's will put it out by 2-3mph
Were you on a M'way/Duel Carraigeway? if so then i doubt they'd even give you a 2nd glance.
And as for the allowences, there's no official allowance it all depends onthe officers discretion

Yeah i knew the "allowance" was a rough guide.
Was a Motorway from Dundee - Aberdeen.

i doubt this, my 19" on the audi only put it out by .9 mph. Cant see how you can quote that figure without knowing the original wheel/tyre size and new ones.
