Im going to be leaving Australia on 10th May after over 6 months here.

Ive had such fun and met sooo many amazing people but i cant help but feel sad that im going to be coming home soon. Im looking forward to seeing family and friends but theres part of me that just wants to stay here now. Its going to really hard to see the place dissapear as i take off for the UK.

Well Martin,

I saved up 6500 quid before i left and ive plowed away most of that but thats not holding back at all. I had periods when i was drinking for nights on end and i have done loads of trips and even been to Fiji for a week too. Out of that 6500 there is also my accomodation for a whole 6 months too and all my food and transport and clothes, CD's etc.. Ive not worked at all but if you work your looking at being able to come out with 3000 quid and working you'll be fine.

Ive lived in the sun since i left the UK. All its been is sunshine and more sunshine. My tans better than its ever been and i feel so chilled out its unbelievable.

Being here has changed me for the best, im so much more confident and independant and have a far more positive attitude toward everything.

I counted all the people ive met in 6 months and ive made over 60 really good friends from all over the world and seen parts of Australia that many people will never see in their lifetimes, even places that Australians havent seen. Ive seen Crocs, Snakes, Lizards and i see 100's of big parrots everyday. Its paradise and i wake up to the blue blue sea everyday.

I was sitting on a Yacht that i did my course on the other night with a fantastic girl and i can say ive never seen so many stars in my life, i was 50kms out to sea and there was no light pollution. I just sat there bobbing around thinking "does life really get any better than this?"

Ian pretty much sums it up there fella, at least you have the memories of the place to look back on.

I doubt it would be so special if you lived there
