Reet, complete newbie to the automobile scene and if theres a bit of money left over from my student loan after buying books and stuff....( ) I may decide to buy some alloys.
So, what will the size of my wheels be now? Its a standard 1.2 GLS.
What size alloys do you think I should I go for? and what will the offset and stuff be what I need to go for? Can someone explain it. (IN DUNCE TERMS )
Me mate was trying to explain to me in work the other but was only half listening as I was working!
Also, can you point me in the direction of cheapest but canny makes, and preferably 5 or 6 spoked alloys are preferred.
Thanking yaz in advance.

This is not the offset. This the the width/profile/diameter of the tyre

Dunno wot my tyres are, it's to dark to have a look and plus i've been drinking so i'll prob fall over or something
The Clio looks nice and all that but i don't use it much as i dunno if it's insured or not. My insurance now allows me to drive the 106 fully comp and anything else up to 5k and a 1.6 TP. It doesn't say nothing about mods tho. It's got a nice 3" all through zorst tho
Hayley, smaller tyres or something or get the inner liners removed. I removed the inner liners on the 106 because it was rubing when my mum filled the car full (no really full) with food etc.

Offset is the distance from centre line of the wheel to the bolt face, and decides how far out the arch (or indeed under the arch) the wheel will sit.
If you're not sure what to go for then factory standard stuff (SXi, SRi spec etc.) is probably a safe bet.
If there's none for sale here, try eBay and post whatever you're thinking of buying for opinion on it.
