i think ive killed the rubber bit inside one of my mounts, are they hard to change? would it be worth me getting uprated ones for more trackday stuff?

I wondered that, the rubber bits on the engine mounts on the Nova look perished.
Would'nt mind replacing mine.

well mine took a hell of a beating on sat at york. The alternator is now rubbing on the chassis, which is nice

two bolts on the rubber throu the mount
the two upwards facing bolts
and its out slide new one in and bolt it back up
but 1
its never that simple
2 when you order the part vaux will get the wrong one
but yeah im pretty sure

This is true, like I said with the top mounts. Best to replace them with standard Vauxhall bits. At least they will be new and will last, maybe not as long as normal but what do you expect.

checked the mounts today and they were fine, apart from the one on the front nearest the timing gear, it was missing 2 bolts

when i did my mates 2.0 nova i used tas mounts and he sold it a week later cos it was bloody awful

ive heard filling them up woith window sealant gives the same effect as uprated mounts
