gimme some suggestions for a newish (2000 - 2003) motor, about 130 - 170ish bhp heres a list (y - considering n - yuk):

- Mini Cooper S y
- Pug 306 Gti-6 y
- Corsa 1.8Sri n : Slow
- Pug 206 Gti (not 180) n : Boring
- Astra 2.0 Sri y
- Astra Gsi y but insurance is a little bit much


Any more suggestions?

this was true. until the new gearbox went in it. get a new one with the gatarac gearbox in k&n and full system. 135bhp easy

second hand ST170's are selling DIRT cheap at the moment for some reason. You can get a lot of car for th money. Make sure its got both custom pack and comfort pack fitted. Custom pack is a set of really comfy leather recaro's, alpine sub and amp in boot and 6 disc in-dash changer, comfort pack is full xenon headlights, heated windscreen(really good in winter) full climate control. Fantastic handling car too. Just get some more ooomph from the engine to take it closer to 190bhp from 170.

if your gonna be keeping it for a while then astra gsi,going so cheap at the mo and you get the most for your money for features etc..

i disagree. I believe the ST170 is best value for money in the hot hatch sector at the moment.

Cooper S. Not as fast as some of the others listed and some will diss the image. But, if you are wise enough to realize that cars have nothing to do with sexuality then you won't find a car that makes you smile more than a Mini All the way home!
