Ok peeps, heres the score I'm 20 in a few months got a '52' reg 3 door corsa life 1.0litre thing. Had it since new. finking of getting a bit of a loan out. Do I, a) spend lots of pennies doing stuff to corsa or b) buy older faster car? Problem is I really like corsa its like my little baby but I'm getting p*ssed all over by everything and can't afford engine swap yet. All comments gratefully recieved

Yeah I really don't wana sell it cos its such a gud little car. The reason I'm finkin bout this tho is cos a m8 has just put 17's on his 1.5 civic lsi and reckons he's lost so much acceleration. I've got the standard 15's on mine but am looking about for wheels etc cos the monies almost there. Does anyone know how much slower 17's would make my car be?

17s will blunt the acceleration but it'll be the difference between strained and very strained. My money would be on a nice SRi of the same age.

Thanks for the comments lads. Have just spoken to m8 who works for VX dealership he reckons new 1.6 16v turbo'd GSI is on its way to the showrooms in the not too distant future. This is worth thinkin about. I think i'll prob stick with it and at the end of the summer i'll prob buy sumfin a bit quicker to use everyday then get a fcuk-off big loan and see bout gettin a 2.0 16v turbo lump out of new Astra GSi. Should piss me sister off wiv her R&A design VTR
