Struggling with my ancient PC, running Windows ME. It intermittently shuts itself down when online & gives me a blue screen & Windows error message. Have to turn power off on wall after this, as Ctrl+Alt Delter dont work, or pressing any other key as its suggests!
Its always been problematic, drives replaced under warranty etc, but then again it is cheap E machine pc world crap!
Any tips greatly appreciated, and no - I cant afford to splash the cash on a new PC!

if there have always been problems, try getting a new motherboard for it. This will also give you the opportunity to upgrade it when you have the cash.
