any ideas why

i click start - shut down - and shut down

click ok - and it restarts

win 2000 pro btw

2000 pro is the best OS ever you've probably got a program running, which hasnt shut down properly, so windows is waiting for that to end before it can shut down it self. Run the usual anti-virus, spyware programs and see what happens But if it has only done it once, then dont worry about it mate
