as above.....why???? i was driving down the a413 the other night at about 60mph, and suddenly bang, hit a nice big pothole that wasn't there before. fcuked my wheel right up, it goes round, and then there is nice big flat spot
so i think a little mission with the digi camera is in order, and the council will be forking out for a new set of wheels for me....

this is the second time its happened to, so i now have two buckled wheels and a car that is technically un-road worthy
but there are two really bad potholes at the mo, and i will not be losing out this time round

I got garage to make me up a receipt for £100 for my burst £40 tyre, they settled on £80 due to tyre already being part worn - wasnt worth cost of new one. I still came up in the end tho, took about 2 months to get my cheque, felt good holding it in my hand knowing id screwed over the council
Just make sure you claim for more than its worth and you have evidence, photos receipts, etc to back everything up!
You get a form to fill out from the council offices, good luck

Don't think you can blame them as it was your decision to drive down a road without thinking of the consequences of the driving conditions...
Sorry if that sounds harsh -- I've done it before but really can't blame anyone but myself...

If anyone is in Manchester, don't bother with Hartwell Vauxhall on Chester rd, took them 3 days to look at my car, and there is a week and a half waiting list for courtesy cars!

A lot of insurance companies won't pay out for accidents caused by ice or snow.
As for pot hole incident, I tried this, took photos, had receipts.
Council siad that it needs to have been reported as damaged before your incident.
