I have this thing called money management, so it doesnt matter if I'm banking a grand or three per month, I still have a concept of what is too expensive and what isnt. Some things can justify their worth, some cant.
I'm like that, apart from the £18 umbrella. My missus used to spend her measly wages in 1 day - I'm gradually getting her on the right track.

Good luck, you'll find the only real way people can do it is by learning by them selfs.

I know - presume you'll drive to Hitchin, then A1 to Hatfield, or is that a bit arse about face?
I'll M1 it when it's finished/ not peak time.
Other times I'll go through town and country roads (Lower Luton Road if you know where that is)
How'd you get into Luton mate?

lilg, that road between Luton->Hitching is great, the one that leads you into Stevenage (north). Jump on the A1 and bam
Use to go to Hatfield alot, where an ex of mine resides.

You can't miss the A1(m), it goes under Hatfield Outlet centre through a tunnel. You know where the uni is off the roundabout? Well instead of turning left off the mainroad to go into the campus, you keep going forward and it takes you to a mini roundabout which can get you on the A1 (heading South towards south mmms/barnet thou)

The Uni is right next to the A1 Greg, junction off after the tunnel. The slip road/lane starts in the tunnel iirc.
I go A1 (M) to Stevenage north -> A602 Hitchin -> A505 Hitchin to Luton -> then through to Luton train station etc (I don't go round by the airport).

I wouldn't quite say triple the water lays like fuck in that road though. I've seen 3 accidents on that road, the same day, the same time. Deano's top tip: If you're heading FROM Hitchin to Luton, stay in the right hand lane (if safe to do so) when it has been really raining. The road is much more grippy and the water doesn't lay.
I find the crawler lane comes in handy
