Dont think its wise getting a flashy car for a 'new driver'
Correct me if i'm wrong but you cant drive yet ?!
I dont think a lupo GTi is ideal. They are pretty fast for a small car, and new driver.
Get a crappy 1.0 or 1.2 run around for 6 months or so. You will have some learnign to do once you get out on the road.... kerbs, car parks poles etc are best visted with shit heap bangers than you dont give a toss about. You have plenty time to get nice cars!

I had a 106 xsi, which was tuned to around 125bhp for my first car, aslong as your sensible it'd be fine, plus the lupo is such an easy car to drive, my mum has an arosa and it was made for learners!!!! OK the GTI isn't but still get it!!!!!

Correct Adam, I'm a provisional driver atm, and the way things are going I could be for some considerable amount of time
Hmmmmmm maybe I should just bash the Mini about for a few more months?

No!!! Some1 has offered you £4000 for it!!! So don't go n bash it up, Correct me if i'm wrong but mini's aren't the easiest of things to drive are they??? No power steering, shit brakes, horrid clutches, unreliable!!! You need something reliable, with all the mod cons, buy the lupo!!!!!!!!!!

Ive told her to get a sensible car but no it has to be different/bling/xfactor Ive said learn to crawl before you can walk but does she listen....well she got a bleedin mini before she'd had a single lesson didnt she
mini's hard enough work for me to drive, never mind someone thats got zero driving experience! I think a lupo would be ideal its nippy without being very quick, but enough grunt to be safe on the road!! I think underpowered 1L's etc are unsafe when it comes to pulling maneuvers - overtaking etc!! Jades mum will drive the car aswell as myself & will be probably in her name with her paying (She's spoiled ) so GTi wouldnt be too horrific!!

It's sweet isn't it?
I'd definately advise selling the mini. plus it's an unsafe car anyway, i wouldn't have one unless it had a full roll cage.
