Just had a joyful drive with misfires cutting out and jerking around.

Dizzy obviously wasn't at fault. Can't be arsed to sort it as I'm on holiday Sunday so it'll have to wait until I'm back

HT leads were changed and it ran the same, it's more like power to the coil than spark plugs as it sounds like its stopping all of them firing.

If fiddling with the HT leads temporarily helped it run better then they are what I'd be looking at first. Them and the spark plugs aren't exactly too expensive to replace.

They only stopped a different symptom, it's completely different to the way it's misfiring now

I had a similar problem with mine, was struggling to pull away and would stutter when driving, checked and replaced everything I could think it to be, found that the fuel tank was pressurising cause my breather was blocked after cleaning that out it was fine.
Might be worth a try

it's not struggling to pull away it pulls up fine, but when sat at 2K revs it jutters all over the place and sounds like it just turns off.

I'll have a look anyway but something is making me think it's something to do with the coil as that's the only thing that has changed recently.

and it pops when it feels like it's cut out which I'd assume would be fuel just going straight through

From your description it sounds like it very well could be coil related.

Especially as that's all that's been changed recently.

My car used to judder around a bit and it turned out to be the HT leads. I know yours are fine, but a problem with the ignition system will still give you similar symptoms.

Yeah, I'm sure it's ignition related.

Fairly certain it's something to do with the coil or earth to the engine.

One of my mates has said he's going to come round and give me a hand so will check those bits in a minute

All 4 plugs are like this. Bad or normal?

Don't look too bad. Shouldn't normally have gunk on the threads though.

Well found the problem.

Spent half hour to an hour checking bits over like the coil, plugs, leads. Then decided we'd start unplugging bits like the hall effect sensor which didn't change a thing, then unplugged the TPS which made it run better just over fuelled a little bit which made it pop a bit
