i think to spend that much on a corsa of that age it would need to be a very specific car to the buyer, i can appreciate the work that goes into them and how much time blood and sweat the person who made it put into it, however i cannot see someone paying that much for it. although technically it looks like a new car and engine wise it maybe mechanically new so 8/9k ISNT that much really.

The VXR is built to factory standard and isn't 15 years old though.

There's a very very limited market that wants this type of car, I don't think anybody is disputing how much work goes into them.

You need to be really into Corsa B's to pay over the odds for one though, especially when there's cars that are newer, faster and better in every way (nothing to do with it being 'just a corsa').

I'm saying 5k, 6k at the very most to somebody who really wants one, not a chance it's going for 9k.

But who would want a C20LET corsa when you could buy a used astra VXR with similar performance and a warranty, as well as better build quality etc for the same money from a dealer.

No ones disputing how much work goes int to the cars, but a let corsa no matter how much has been spent on it will never command over £5000 and even thats being optimistic in vauxhall enthusiast circles.

Your's is a bit more than 300bhp Nic.

If we are wrong you'll be 10k up and be laughing at us.

If we're not you'll be stuck with a car/gutted when you get what it's realistically worth.

The average LET is around 300 bhp is it not? Does look cleen as fuck though, can't help but think the wheels let it down abit but apart from that its nice, still not 9k nice though. I love corsas but I'd never pay 9k for one, yours is running close to 500bhp now isnt it nic?

I'm a big fan of Corsas but I would be very wary of those bids.

Second chance doesn't carry the same obligation to the buyer though. I would imagine if the winning bidder pulls out you'll be left with a big fee and no sale on the car. I've been in credit with Ebay for months because they charged me £120 in fees because I kept having to relist things. They took the money from me and then refunded it as account credit not real cash.

It's a great price if it's genuine but I think the general consensus even between those people who would value a car like that quite optimistically is that those are not genuine bids.

Its no problem. Im sure a hell of alot of work has gone into it but i couldn't justify spending £9k on a corsa.. The only way i would is if i'd built it myself.

A car is worth the value of it component parts. Granted it is clean but it is a Corsa GSI, it's hardly a S1 RST is it?
Anyone that would pay that for 'someone elses' car is a fucking idiot, especially when it's a Corsa!
That auction has been fiddled with more than Maddies piss hole...
