From page 2 ^ I'm sorry, but what has that got to do with it? I take everything with a pinch of salt on here, and I didn't even consider anything Luke had posted, changing my opinion of what happened etc.
Anyway, hope he has a speedy recovery to the best of health he can have. And the fact that they couldn't find his eyeball that tells you how bad it is.
Keep up updated Graham.

Its awful to hear about this, but theres no way it was a random act. For anyone to throw a pole through someones windscreen they would have to have a serious grudge!!

How fucking sad is it if the person has done it for a reason, they chose to get him back in this way, thats so cowardly its untrue.

I've just been sat thinking, that how big a windscreen is, and how small the pole must be for someone to physically throw it (far enough and fast enough to go through a windscreen) and for the pole to go through and hit xa0s's face is crazily either unlucky or it was some planned thing or the person was right on the curb and did it, I really hope the police find out more and we can find out more news on it and what happened etc, its crazy the more i think about it.
Graham is it in your local paper this week?

Depends how fast he was travelling, but a pole at say 30-40mph would have no problem going through a window.

yeh true, but i'm guessing it would have to go through as if it was thrown like a javelin straight on at the car, as i don't think a pole that was thrown horizontally would go through the windscreen, it would smash it or crack it but not go through with enough force for that.
The pole must of gone through straight on at the windscreen and gone through that way, especially to cause that damage to his face.

tbh what all you idiots called stupid riding, i called talent
This isnt me singeling you out, I'm not having a go so stay calm, but what has this got to do with anything?
its just that some of the people dont like him just because of the way he rode his bike, when it takes alot of talent to do what he did and alot of you wond understand how actually good he is on a bike as most of you have never been on one.

I'm just commenting on what you said mobby, you hit me with a sarcastic comment, so i sent one back thats all.
I genuinely feel sorry for the guy, no-one should have that happen to them. Hopefully there might be a way he can use his eye again. Graham did the hospital say he couldn't use it after operating?
you made a sick joke in a thread where there was really no need at all!!!
[Edited on 02-10-2008 by mobby]
And all you're worried about Mobby is if his GF will leave him!
WTF does that have to do with his injurys or to you for that matter?!?
Don't like the way he comes across on here but I hope he recovers and they catch the people who did it.
why would i only be worried about his gf leaving him??? what are you trying to say?? if you come out of hospital with a injury that bad and open to see, the last thing you want is someone to leave you for the way you look or find it hard to pull in the future!!
i think you abit touchy on gfs due to your own problems!!
what has it got to do with me ?? this is a forum and we are talking about this situation, i will be sending him a card, will you??

Talent is when you do it in a nice controlled area, on a safe road or safe place
Stupidity is doing it on a public road, putting other people in danger.
It's like saying someone is a talented sniper because they can shoot a sniper rifle in the middle of a busy street and hit a melon on a spike in a crowd of people.

I wish him a full and complete recovery but by the sounds of things, that isn't going to happen and he'll be scarred for life.
When he gets mocked for it, or when he feels low about it, I'll help him out same as I helped others out when he was doing the name-calling.
I notice a few people have compared the internet to real life and stated that he's fine to peoples faces. This merely makes him a hypocrite and a coward, not a good person because he only supplies abuse when he's hiding behind a keyboard.
I hope for his sake that the community at large puts that behind them and is sympathetic to his new position. In fact I would imagine that they will be. I for one have no desire to call him names as I've not been wronged. I can't speak for others and I would ask those other people to be compassionate and forgiving given the magnitude of his injury and the significant impact of that on his life.
Again, can I say that my thoughts are with him and I do wish him the very best for recovery in the circumstances. And I hope he comes back a better person.

I've never been on a motorbike but I know that openly flouting the law when others obey it takes the piss out of those who do. I don't drive safely and sensibly so others can disregard the rules and come on here acting like they're above the law. I couldn't give a monkeys how much skill it requires, I would imagine a considerable amount, and if he did it away from public roads I would congratulate him. Even if he broke the law but appreciated that he was breaking it then perhaps we would put that down to the law being generally what we obey in the knowledge that this isn't always the case. I don't always obey the law and I'm not about to pretend otherwise. But I don't brag, think I'm invincible or consider other people stupid in lying about the circumstances. He's just arrogant, plain and simple. And that is not a facet worthy of defending in my opinion.

No one is doubting he has skill mobby, I know I couldn't ride a bike like he does but he is doing it in the wrong way, openly admitting to breaking the law is not good and if you notice, anyone who comes on here in a similar situation gets shot down in flames just the same, people not insuring cars correctly for example. He was also a cock to someones GF iirc, comments that he should of kept to himself. I dont have anything against the lad, he has never bothered me but I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy what has happened to him.

Alot of people break the law nova, but we dont come into contact with every person in the uk who does, people openly admitting to doing so on a forum you frequently use are obviously going to get negative replies.

now thats hitting the nail on the head!!, everyone on this website breaks the law imo except from a fair few. for example the meets that happen, they are illegal, as you need cruise insurance, there are so many examples to be said. just because hes not ashamed to admit it dost make him any different imo

I suppose these law obiding CS'ers could argue though that the meets don't threaten lives nor create a danger zone for themselves.

theres a difference between admitting it and bragging about it

There is also a difference between swearing at a copper and killing someone in a car accident, say shoving a pole through a windscreen for example.

no one knows the story of where he live, all people from cs can go by is how he acts on here and if its like that in real life then im sure this was not an unprovoked attack.
