Do I miss it? Yes and no TBH... Miss some of the gadgets it had and how comfy it was... dont miss the cost!
TBH the Mk IV feels faster, not much but its certainly no slower IMO, has most of the gadgets and is pretty comfy... stands out more too
BIG diff in runnign costs tho... cos I use it for a long commute I drive like a granny during the week usually
To get an avg of 34mpg in the Mk V I had to use 98/99ron... I use 95 in Annie and she returns 36/37mpg easy during the week... so there would ahve been a big saving there (altho at the time 98ron was "only" 98p  ) ... Mk V doesnt really like 95 ron... quite lumpy and not as responsive... well mine anyhoo
I quite like the slight tubby lag too... reminds me Im in a turbo!

If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, then I wouldn't... IMO the Mk V can look quite cheap and bland without some of the extras... bare in mind mine was £25k (before JR stepped in ) to get it looking as special as it shoudl std IMO... the cloth seats, std lights (front and rear) and 17s dont appeal to me in the slightest I have to say, and some of the gadgets that made it 'special' in my eyes were exp extras too!!
