Gordon Brown is a figure head for the Labour Party.
Just because things are going up doesn't necessarily mean its all his fault.
Annoys me when people use the words "Gordon Brown" as a scapegoat where in fact its the sections of the political party messing us around.

Surely he has to give everything the go ahead though?
plus, dont try & get away from the fact he is a complete chimp who is fucking everyone over.
If it such a big thing, then all of the govt should ditch the big jags & stuff & drive around on public transpoirt, like they are trying to force everyone else to do.

It's not, some of my favourite comments from the more affluent people who drive bigger cars were along the lines of 'i'll just go and buy something even bigger now'.

Pre 2001 theres only 2 tax bands, up to 1549cc & over 1549cc, so, in theory, you could run a dodge viper on the same tax band as a 1.6 GSi corsa

This is from Audi-sport, if you own an 03 reg S3
Costs of tax in 2010
Rolls-Royce Phantom Saloon £455
Ferrri Enzo £455
Lamborghini Gallardo £455
Mercedes-Benz S65 bi turbo £455
Audi S3 £430
£25 difference between them seems crazy.

Yes steve they don't care and the highest is only 455 by the looks of it and as joe has pointed out theres no difference between his s3 and much more powerful cars so why not go the whole hog.

I have my fingers crossed for some road tax riots in the vein of the poll tax riots. Preferably even more serious though if possible.

Anyone know how inflation is calculated? Admittedly not directly related to the new Raod tax rules, but here's a thought:
There was lots of government funded organisations (Police, Civil servants, Fire Bridage, NHS etc) who all kicked off recently because they didn't get 0.5% extra on their rate of inflation because the goverment wants to try and limit it so as to try and limit the rate of inflation... weeks later they then quite happily put an extra 2p on the price of fuel, which effects pretty much everything that comes to mind, and is paid for by the end user, i.e the general public.
There's some f**king clever c**ts that work in our government.

I'd have the entire cabinet dragged across Tower Bridge by a Toyota Prius and then i'd drown them all in a skip full of diesel.
