I'm still baffled by the thought that a fake watch is an investment. That statement could only be hinting towards them being real.
Either way, if someone is happy with a fake then as long as they are happy it doesn't matter what people on a corsa forum think.

If that's aimed at me, then my argument was about nice watches in general, not fakes.

Wow this is a crazy thread, love it! Proper Corsasport lol... anyway whoever said expensive watches are pointless is a bit silly. You could say that about anything, some people just want more than the basic standard and choose to spend their money on things they like simple as. I've had a cheap watch for the last 10 years but am about to spend a four figure sum on a nice watch as a treat to myself for my 30th birthday.
I've wanted it (and saved for it) for years, and I'm genuinely excited about owning something I've longed after for many years! Originally I was going to treat myself to a brand new car, but to me nothing is more of a waste of money than that, not to take that experience away from anyone, but I couldn't stand the depreciation personally! I'll probably keep my watch forever...

Holding value and increasing are entirely different things. I'm not a huge fan of paintings, but can understand why someone would be a collector.

very few watches make money - its the fact each manufacturer increases their prices each year meaning a watch you bought five years ago for maybe 4k will be now around 6k brand new in the shops if still being made today
However if you were to try and sell it you wouldnt get 6k for it probably not even 4k
The only watches that seem to command the retail price are Daytonas due to the waiting list

I think they're all weirdo's.
I bet all the cunts on that z4 forum who talk about gazumping and legally binding contracts of sale are ''watch enthusiasts''. Freaks.

To the people with expensive watches, do you walk around with short sleeve shirts on, or have the sleeves rolled up at all times if wearing a long sleeve shirt etc??

Wear it outside the shirt imo. Make sure everyone can see it.

Why would you wear a long sleeved £500 shirt to cover up a £6000 watch?

I had a hooky tag from Turkey when I was 15...impressionable and naive and probably claimed it was real to mates too. I wouldn't entertain wearing/buying anything fake now and own a number of decent watches.
If I can't afford the real deal, I don't buy a replica but often buy used from blowers, hackett or tz-uk.
Fakewatchbusta (Instagram) would be having a field day if he had sight of DaveyLC's "collection". Lol

A watch is used to tell the time. Well, up until the ''smartwatch'' anyway. What else does it do?
