I think it's nice...and if there are no feelings between the two of you she will have just taken it as a nice friendly geasture too

she is 25 and very much so her own woman.
i'm 22 and very much the "child" of the house (other housemate is 27)
we both moved in at the same time, in October 07 and i've had no resson to think that she has any feelings for me what so ever in those 4 months.
it would be nice to think that you girls are right but surely she would have made a move by now.....unless i really dont know woman at all?

This thread has got me thinking about texting 2 people, a girl I've known since I was about 9, so we've been friends now for around 11 years, we lost touch a bit after I went to her 18th, just saw her odd times when she parked on the carpark opposite were I used to work, then about a week before her 21st she text me out of the blue and invited me. I've seen her a few times since and I'm not 100% what she's thinking, she's single and I sometimes get the feeling that she may be interested although I'm truly terrible at reading signals  We were texting each other probably a month or so ago and I remember her saying we were like 2 peas in a pod, cos we don't really drink, and neither of us have ever been bothered about going out round town on a weekend or anything. I was feeling a bit down the other week and I text her and she ended up saying give her a shout if I'm down and wanna go to the cinema or something. Only thing is I don't know if she is interested or if it's me reading too much into it but if she is interested, I still think it could be a bit funny with being friends for so long.
The other person is a girl that lives round the corner, I really don't think I should be getting involved there tho

I don't know if I want anthing, I've never had a proper relationship, last person I was seeing was when I was 14 and I barely spoke to her in the 3 weeks I was seeing her
I've pretty much spent the whole 21 years of my life single, and I met someone last year asked her out about a week after I met her, then it kinda dragged on for 6 months with me not being able to think about anything else and her seeming interested sometimes and not interested sometimes. I know that nothing's gonna happen now, I've known for a while but I still couldn't stop thinkng about her, I've got her out of my head now, I still think about her every so often, mainly cos of 2 forums that we're both members on, but since I've got over her I start feeling lonely at times.
So for 21 years I've been happily single, I meet 1 girl and have a really shit 6 months, then start feeling like I need someone. It's shit
Don't think I'm gonna bother, I'll be right in the morning

Mike I really think you should text her and arrange to go out, cinema would be ok but not th ebest places to talk. Could go out for a meal before or after. Better to at least know where you stand rather than let it get you down.

Haha, I'm the opposite Recently there's been a load of women that I've known for ages and I've suddenly started looking at em different. The other girl I mentioned that lives round the corner, she's 17, I've not even thought about anyone that young for months. I've always prefered older women, younger ones often seem to do my head in but I saw her the other day, she shouted over to me telling me she was learning to drive, since then she's popped into my head a few times but up until a few weeks ago, it was strictly 20 or over
I saw a women I used to work with the other day too, when I worked with her I always thought she was hot, but recently that feeling's just not been there, I saw her the other day again and I wanted her all over again. Unfortunately that'll never happen tho, she's 40, married, 2 kids, her son is roundabout my age
As I said just, I've always prefered older women

Whatever happened to the you're better off on your own advice?
For 2 1/2 years as a mechanic all I ever got was either 'stay single' or occasionally 'turn gay, women are too much trouble'
I'm not used to being advised to go for it.
Still don't know, I'm happy being single
