ok, lets go silly

lets say,
75million gate receipts
16million spnsorship (i think this is correct with new sponsor)
500,000 manutd shirt sales at £40 each = 20 million
sky money (not sure exact but around 20 million)
Prem Runners Up money (around the same id imagine)
League Cup money.. have no idea.. lets say 2mill? lol
champs league money.. another 15mill ish with extra TV rights etc.

i reckon aroun 150million a year

-rooney,rio,rudd,ronaldo money there rolling in it, 70k fans every home game, is mental. at £30 a pop thats 2million quid

Im not getting what your point is here? There is no money in the club, it is in debt no matter how much profit you make each year as it all goes to pay off the £265mil the Glaziers have in loans.
i reckon that would take 2 years ... on my earlyer working out

yeah, plus then you have other costs. Whats your wage bill? Whats it cost to generally run the team day to day? Whats it cost to seat 70k people a game? etc. etc. your not making pure profit from all that. And certainly dont make 132.5mil profit a year like your working out tells you!

But all that profit your making at the end of the season is going back to the Glaziers to pay off the loans. They have £265mil to pay off in 5 years at huge interest so your not going to have massive amounts for new players.

Christ you could have a 150k seater stadium and still not have anymore money to spend!

no... your looking at it all wrong.... someone whos had less to drink than me please tell him....FFS we have 40m this year to spend and this is before any profit we have made selling players

yes but don't forget, players wages have to come out of all these profits.

Here you go. Utd made 12.4 mil profit for 6 month last year. So in my thinking thats only around 25mil profit a year?!! And thats 10+ years to pay off the loan without taking into account money going out on new players!!

good point, however the only players seriously busting the wage budget... are Giggs, Rio and Scholes... everyone else is on below 60k a week

your either very drunk or very stupid to not realise Man Utd dont make 100's of millions in profit a year. You'll make at the most around 30mil profit this year BEFORE any money is spent on new players. So Im guessing your looking at it all wrong.

Interesting, but take into account that al the big money deals like sponsorship,s tv rights, prize money is all awarded at the end of the season so maybe they made 12.5mill in first 6months then a further 90-100mill thereafter.

For 2004/05 season...

Manchester United saw a 20 per cent drop in operating profit from £58.3m to £46m for the 11 months to 30 June. Group turnover fell from £169m to £157.2m and pre-tax profits fell from £28m to £10.7m.

...So they made 10.7mil for 11months after tax, which is worse than I thought.

I like Man Utd now, I didn't used to, but Chelsea are the new evil, I like Liverpool and I'm not keen on Arsenal as they shouldn't be representing British football in Paris, they just play football here.

Yeah I knew what you meant. I was just trying to show Sooty and Russ that Utd arent making huge profits to both pay off the loans that ARE secured on the club and also provide loads and loads of money from signings.
