Yes but don't change it any further, don't start deleting posts by people asking for pics of vids of newbies, 9 times out of 10 the newbies are Joff anyway so its not offending anyone.

Maybe enforced signatures is a way forward:-
As in
'My name is Vibrio and I insult everybody, please dont take offence'

i have to admit, when a female newbie joins, the usual pics and vids posts are ok. its when it goes beyond that its annoying. i remember a few months ago, there was thread of 5 plus pages going "pics, vids, sketches, tree formations" i could not bring my self to understand why that was funny. the thread got trashed, but there's been no other action against this. opinions?

i agree, it can go a bit too far
but, i have just been moderated on the VXSCC website, for having an opinion, and i dont think CS should have this overmoderation happen

i dont think 'over moderation' is the issue being raised in this thread

I can only imagine Ian is getting pissed at wasted bandwidth...an TBH after he told me how much this site costs I can quite agree

That particular thread did have some comedy value in its own right and as a one off was allowed to run, however I wouldn't generally endorse taking a thread that far off topic.
Thats less dangerous than, for example, a thread where someone is genuinely shy and new and the thread is ruined. I don't think the poster in the one you refer to was so harmed in that case.
Female newbies are a case in point. Some join in and go along with it, and others not. I speak to most to ensure that they're happy with the way the threads go.

That thread on its own wasn't responsible for much, but it did go silly, hence the trash.

I know, but it was mentioned iirc
and its pissing me off not being allowed an opinion on another site so i'm venting my frustration here, where it will not be removed

You can vent about another club so long as its objective.
Helps me actually, as I may as well learn from someone elses lessons as well as my own.

Does it really matter who does/doesn't come on here?
I'm in it for the shows & meets, coming on here is just a bonus
Can't believe how petty/stupid/immature/bitchy/full on gay some people can be on here!

You speak the total truth, he doesnt have to justify to us why he banned someone
who makes this site the success it is? Ian alone? No. The members, and their commitment, if someone's banned, and people aren't happy about the moderation, then these people deserve an explanation
I.M.O
how do you help the site, your just an offday whore.

I think you should keep out of what dont corcern you.
I think comments posted on a public forum concern all that use it, oh it should be "doesn't concern you" and not "dont concern you".
EDIT: Quotes trimmed and has already been mentioned, so to change the subject (but whilst keeping it on topic at the same time!):
Pics/vids/clay mouldings of Ian "cracking on with it".......

who said anything about helping the site? Of course, i dont post nowhere else in Corsa Sport. Im not currently working on a project and posting the progress in GC. Its comments like this that annoy me, they may be a bit more subtle than those comments vibrio or ojc may make, but nevertheless its the same principle, yet nothing will be done, and i wonder why
