Mines on aveage at the moment and it's been sat at 28.2mpg for ages.

It only gets used at the weekends as well.

Exactly. But Daimo knows best.

S5s are big, thirsty, and expensive when they go wrong too. Basically everything that he's trying to get away from

Carry on reading and quote my reply... Oh wait, you can only quote the bits to try to put someone down can't you

In other words, just like your RX7, had anymore expensive rebuilds recently?

I like the Corsa VXR in that grey colour, doesn't look like a boy racer mobile like it does in the other colours

Started replying then went away from the internet Didn't see the reply you made again. Fair enough if you took it back. No need for cheap, and frankly obvious digs about my car.

Audis just aren't generally exciting these days in my opinion. Probably possible to have much more fun in a small hatch you can chuck about.

alot of car enthiusiasts always seem to forget about that small word. Fun.

Corsa turbos are flawed because of obvious reasons. But its still probably the most fun car ive ever driven.

Fun is hugely important. To me anyway doesnt matter if its not the fastest car in the world or the best drivetrain. If its fun its ok

I voted the vxr, mainly as it's the only one I've driven but i'd be between that and the 500, only thing I hate about the 500 is that they maybe are considered a bit girly?
Whilst I respect how good a car the clio is, I honestly just don't like them all that much.

I like they Corsa's more every time I look at them.

What sort of MPG do they get and what do they get with a remap?

Jambo get a nearly new 3dr Astra SRI 1.9 150PS CDTI with XP and be done with it.

DTUK box for £250 odd then see 200bhp and 50+mpg.

Best of both worlds.

Clio then for me for sheer fun factor then...

It'll handle the best as standard, the economy will be ok, great chassis, nice interior, good brakes, and will keep up with many a bigger car round the bends.

CDTi Astra is a good economical choice, but not a "fun" car like the clio imo.

The lady outsides husband owns a car Vauxhall/Renult car garage and shes always bringing in the latest astra/corsa/clio varients. She likes the astra the most (as its the biggest I think and the most powerfull ), but she much prefers the clio for chucking around, but finds the corsa the easiest to drive on the road due to its size and turbo torque.

Her green one outside SHOULD be horrible, but theres something abou it I can't stop staring at (don't know what version, but it has a biggish top rear spoiler, anthrite wheels, big red Brembos, and lairy green paint )

the interior of the clio is awful

The interior on the VXR is ok - not great but certainly not poor and the seats are great - if only they would go a bit lower

you can get xenons on the vxr, its on the website. (correct me in if wrong) But i swear its around £500?!

Clio interior is really nice, the plastics they use for the dash etc is much better feel/look to any of the others. My only gripe is how far forward the door handles are
