why do you dislike his dad?
If anything I think thats one of the best things. That his dad put so much out for his son and its paid off.
because he seems to want the fame more than lewis
he is allways there, in front of the camera, allways getting in the way, allways making his view knownm tbh i couldnt give a fuck, massa's dad did the same, and ive never seen vettles dad on camera
rossi's dad has supported valentino through his carear, but ive never seen him on camera doing an interview of anything like that, and rossi is 7 times world champion
No offence but what a load of rubbish. Does Anthony Hamilton ask the camera crews to film him?, Hamilton and Massa's dad is going to attract more attention compared to sebastien, since he has been in F1 he has been in the championship battle. He also happens to be his manager hence the interviews.
I look at a lot of F1 forums and see the same rubbish posted, Imagine it was your son who you had supported since they were 8 years old working two jobs to support your sons hobby, no guarantee of glory, thats dedication so to be honest IF his dad wants to be in the garage supporting his son then good for him.
I dont remember people complaining when Corrina Schumacher was filmed in the Ferrari garage several times a race or Mika Hakkinens wife.
For a respected poster on this site that seems a very blinkered viewpoint
its my opinion
i dont think he needs to apprear as much as he does, and ive never seen anyone elses family, british or not get nearly as much airtime as he does, he just appreas to love the limelight
its not just me, but a genral opinion of many people on alot of fourms
feel free to not like it, you dont have to, and im not sure how im a respected poster on here, i just make threads about fords

oh bollocks I thought I had a bet on for Massa to win the race but Hamilton to win the championship but I must of pressed the wrong button cos I'd put Hamilton to win the race aswell. So lost more money than I made

Antony is Lewis's manager as well as his dad. He talks on behalf of his son.
The only reason you see so much on an F1 weekend, is because ITV go to Antony instead of Lewis at the request of the Hamilton family (from the start of the year which was made quite public).
I wouldn't say he want's the fame, i'd say he's just trying to take the pressure of the press away which has always been the case.
Press are a nasty bunch of people. Did you see how forcefull they were yesterday?
I'd be exactly the same I think (when my future nipper either gets into pocketbikes or Karting )

that may be true TBH daimo
are you of the opinion that he may not be able to take the pressure, or that just the f1 press etc are that much worse + so many more than say, motogp

i say fair play to lewis hes been in f1 2 years and been there at the top for both of them and he was unlucky last year but finally he did it this time and the 1ST BRITISH WINNER for a long time plus f1 did to try stop them by stripping him of points and still be able to win well done and his dad is his manager but you know that i been away for a while. but i say well done to him

Both really. I don't think Hamilton can handle the press pressure. So "in your face" which for me personnally would wind me right up, there would be a flying camera at some point But he's had 2 years now, the championships his. He should now start to do the interviews at the start of the race as he's been playing for 2 years now.
But to his credit, what he doesn't do on the grid, he more than makes up with personnal interviews for ITV. How it will go next year on the BBC, god knows. It could all be ruined if they don't get good commentators.
MotoGP press are just as bad harrassment wise, but theres not as many of them as there are at the car GP's so not quite as bad, but the press mentality is still the same
Its so over the place for 09. BBC for F1, new commentators? Who though????
MotoGP, no more Eurosport, no more Julian Ryder or Toby Moody (BOOOOOOOOOOO), so lame assed Parish and Whitham.
WSB though, that'll be MUCH better next year.
BOOO HOOOOO Motorsport is now over for 2008, least i've still got Aussie V8's to aid my MS addiction

Should imagine Eurosport will keep him on BSB and WSB but imo I don't think he's done a very good job this year.
But then i've read a few whinges about him too so maybe not??
We're running out of GOOD commentators in the UK

Watch it next year.
14!!!!!!!! YEs 14 FACTORY bikes, let alone all the others.
BMW, and Aprillia are entering next year, Haga goes to Ducati, Bayliss has retired, we have 3 Brits in the WSB race, and one more going to SS600.
Gonna be a BIG field, lots of proper racing.
That said, MotoGP is also getting another 3-4 bikes join the field.
F1 has some catching up to do

Isn't Coulthard going to be doing some commentary next year?
I'll be so glad that there won't be any adverts during the race now, how annoying was that!

Rossi won't be bored next year Thats why he's re-signed for a few more years, he knows theres the challanges awaiting.
Coultards ok, but i like a commentator to get excited, thats why i love the MotoGP boys, and Murrey Walker so much.
They love the sport, they get massivly excited, and they speak facts.
Not Brundel, ex F1 driver, "here he comes at 210mph.."
NO you FOOL, they hardly touch 200, let alone more than that. Just chat rubbish and don't make you feel excited as a listener at all.
Thats why im not keen on Parish, Whitham etc as well. They know their stuff, but theres no "excitment"
Shout, scream, go giggly, it makes more entertaining listening.

I don't know how true this is but i was told that the bbc had paid for the whole package - meaning that the current team of commentators will be going over to bbc as well as the F1. Correct me if i am wrong.

At least on the BBC there wont be advert breaks every 2nd lap. That really annoyed me about ITV.

Murrary Walker was an absolute cock!
Someone locks up a wheel and he thinks there is an engine blown somewhere!
Motogp commentary is going to be missed as BBC is very very dull compared to Eurosport!
