That's because BMW have been known to offer replacement engines on the M3 if needed, because it's so rare to happen and it's such a good engine. Without that 1 stamp, they can't sell it in a BMW garage and nor will they give you any help towards the ~£9k for off the shelf engine

Better at 80mph than 70mph, so if the police do you for speeding, say you're doing the government a favour or something.

It couldn't do 360miles on one tank, albeit not slow 360miles as some was the M6 Toll in the middle of the night

Enough info?

deano without the stamp the car has incomplete service history! So i wouldnt buy one that didnt tbh.

360miles to a tank sounds good. Extended range would be nice, last 2 cars ive had needed filling up every 5mins

No idea why you would or wouldn't, just checking etc.

It was 180 miles to Manchester 1 way, so 360 total. Could have got all the way home but it would have meant red light on.

But it would cost nearly £100 to fill up these days, especially as they only seem to like running on Shell V-Power. And anyone that says the fuel makes no difference, it does.

£100 may be a bit excessive, but it would definitely be near £80 to fill up.

EDIT: According to Parkers it has a 63 litre tank.

From dry, 63 x £1.17 (average for Super Unleaded according to PetrolPrices.com) = £73.71.

That fuel economy is baring in mind it's an M3 and we were doing 100 - 120mph for pretty much the whole M6 Toll. Driven more sensibly, you could return better MPG and easily 360 miles to 1 tank. However, it's an M3. You can't drive it sensibly.
