UPDATE
Rach now has her cast off her arm. She has a scar from her shoulder to her elbow where they 're-set' the bone and put the pin in.
Sat with her for a good half an hour holding her hand. Her heart rate went up every now and then when i stroked her hand. I dont know if thats because i was there or not but i like to think she knows im there.
I still find it nigh on impossible to talk to her. The words just wont physically come out. Ive said the main stuff (Told her i love her, and that she can take all the time she needs - im going no where ete etc) to try and relax her a bit. But its still SO hard.
Got a doc appointment booked to see about sleepy stuff and a counsellor.

Things seem to be improving. Speaking to a Doc yourself will definitely help, get some of things out your head, which is always better. Never let things fester up inside.

Yeah ive done that before, never ends pretty.
My best mate smashed his car last night through driving like a complete prick. Sideways into a kurb. I just walked away as i would have 'had words' otherwise. Id have thought that at a time like this in particular, he'd maybe calm it.
'If you've nothing nice to say, say nothing' and all that.....

Thats exactly it. Specially if you have things on your mind you could easily over react and spark off easily. So its best to let anger out elsewhere. Personally I use my drumkit to take anger out on.

UPDATE
Rach has now been moved to neuro HDU.
Ive been speaking to Monster from CS alot (cheers mate) and he asked me to find out what coma scale she is.
Shes a 3 to 6 (3 being the lowest and 15 being the highest - i.e. me, you and anyone else would be a 15 - obeying command etc etc) but shes sometimes a 9 as shes been opening her eyes every now and then.
Gradually getting better.

WoW. Monster's just showed me this thread. It does sound like she is slowly coming round. It took him a month before he was able to leave. He also remembers things that we were saying to him whilst he was being lazy sleeping all the time
So just try and keep talking to her, she really does hear you. You said that her heart rate goes up a little when your strokeing her hand. Monster's mum was tickleing his feet and the same thing happened.
Also keep making her hands into a fist and straighten them out. Monsters hands started getting really stiff as they weren't been used. Just let her know that your doing it and that you are going to be there when she wakes up.
Also a little note for you. Get something to eat. You may not feel like eating, but what happends if she wakes up and you can't be around her as you've starved yourself and need looking after or are on the bed next to her.
So take care of yourself and get her to come on here to say hi when she wakes up
