Im taking the piss.

Forget the plane has wheels, as they basically just free wheel underneath, so the conveyor could be going 1,000mph but if the engines thrust forwards (i.e. they dont drive wheels they push air) then the plane would still move forward.

Much like if you wore rollerskates and went on a treadmill going 1,000mph, the wheels would move under you and you could stay still. If someone then pushed you forward you'd move forward.

i must admit when i first ever read this question my first response was to write dont be stupid it wont take off, then i thought about it for 5 seconds then realised it would
