I used to be shit with money. My wife soon sorted me out and I ended up paying £12,000 off in about a year. Feels so good to not have any debt now

Fair enough if you're sensible with money and use them for emergencies or know you aint gonna just keep upping your limit etc. They certainly aren't for everyone.

Zactly mate... its all well and good sayign its for emergencies etc but the temptation is far too hard for 99.9% of people to resist and thats how they get you... Ive spent 18-25 in massive debt and am only now debt free... its not worth it peoples!!!

my b/f has loans and credit cards...its lot every month but like Will he pays it al ff everymonth without fail.... Car debt though!!!! i want to save for a house with him..grrrrr lol

Not raped for using one, but if someone clones your debit card or uses it in some sort of fraud it can be a pain getting the money back (if at all).
With a credit card however, if someone clones that and spanks it then they are using someone elses money (i.e. Visa or Mastercard) and its their problem (once you report it)

Pensions... people worry a bit too much about them IMO... personally I have been saving since I was 18 for mine but its becuase I had spare cash... I always say 30 is a perfectly acceptable time to start one up as there are more important things to save for first (ie property!)
