I'm right out of this scene now.
I've never done anything other than the occasional spliff at college...back then MDMA and ecstacy were the same thing
TBPH Ive lost lots of mates to cocaine, they are either bankrupt, inside or dead.....anybody who says the stuff is 'safe' is talking out of their arse

Tried...
Alcohol
Weed
Mushrooms
Coke
Speed
Pills
MDMA
Ket
Ive talked about my position on drugs a few times already on this forum so I wont bother going on about it, but basically I dont see too much of a problem so long as they are treated with respect and used not ABused, thats the key.
Personally I went a bit off the rails for a while, was doing speed and weed every day, coke almost every day and pills quite often, but had a massive kick up the arse from the boys in blue, which as shit as it was at the time, completely turned my life around and in a way im very glad it happened.
Ive not touched anyhing now for about 18 months apart from one pill on NYE and a couple of tokes on a spliff about 12 months ago. I can honestly say I will never smoke weed or do speed again, but even though I dont plan on it, I guess in the right place at the right time I might be persuaded to do a pill again one day.
I guess its that since giving up and turning my life around in the last 18 months, ive discovered theres much more to life than smoking weed every day and being a boring, unmotivated lazy stoner, I started smoking it pretty much everyday from the age of 16 so its been quite a big change for me but i feel so much better for it. Anone thinking of quitting then my advice is just do it, you will be much happier!

I'm only going to put this one more post in this thread.
What you lot need to understand is that whilst you think its ok to do drugs 'in moderation/sensibly' in your teen/early twenties, you have to look at the bigger picture.
Sure you can kick the habit (fairplay drunkenfool) ....the problem you will have is when you hit your thirties and have everything you aspire to....house/wife/kids etc.
In your 30's you find yourself bored with your lifestyle, have disposable income...and a harping back to your youth. Enter class 'A' drugs like coke....I recently caught up with a mate who popped a few pills in the 90's, he's now completely fucked and bankrupt after coke abuse, when he had a near 500k turnover business.
Doing drugs just simply isn't worth it IMO....it's all well and good saying 'I do x/y/z drugs' now when you can barely afford to do them. Roll on 20 years....you can afford to do them.
At that point you will begin to lose control. Believe me, Ive seen too many mates fall by the way.....

Jules, I feel you have a very good point there to be honest, and I'd never really thought of that before - widsom is one of the benefits that comes with age, I guess!
At the end of the day there is no _need_ to take drugs, which is something that took me a long time to figure out for myself cos for most of my adult life up till 18 months ago I was under the influence of one thing or another. If you do have to experiment then almost nothing will stop you from wanting to, but just keep in mind that it can be a dangerous game, look out for yourself, look out for your mates, and most importantly, if your mates start getting worried about you then for fucks sake LISTEN TO THEM!

Done several types of weed including skunk. Quit smoking altogether a couple of years ago though.
Never taken any other drug and never would.

Spot On!
A good friend of mine had everthing in life he could have asked for; nice house, lovely lady, sucessful business but he had always like his gear (coke). We all knew he had a bit of a problem and confronted him about it and thought he had listened but here we are a year down the line and and we buried him last month. Turns out his odd dabbles had turned into a £1000/week habit that he a hidden from his old mates and family. Trust me if you ever have to experiance anything like that it'll a be a wake up call.
I used to have a bit of a problem myself but was luckly enough to pull my self together before ity turned into a slippery slope. I look back at myself then and think to myself want as sad tosser I was and realise what a luckly escape I had

I had a friend in the same situation.
GF, little boy (brilliant lad!), nice car, house, good job etc.
Started sniffing, became a daily habbit. He started cheating on his missis which really fcuked me off as shes a lovley girl. Went f-ing mental at him, big time.
Luckily, he realised, listened to what I said.
He now has kicked the habbit, has got a better house, him and his missis are getting on the best they ever have. He doesn't cheat, and now has a little girl on the way. He's living the perfect little family life. Little boy, little girl coming, good job still etc.....
Coke is a bad bad drug. Again, like some of you have said, its a slippery slope, something you don't have much control over, which is why I could never do it properly.
The fear of turning into an obsession and ruining my, and others lives.
Thats why green rocks. Only got to worry about going mental (but even then you need to be smoking all day, every day, on the go all the time, from a young age).
