Did they lose their voice from smoking, like the media would have you believe?
I've been to the doctors more times since I gave up than I did in the 19 years beforehand
thats how my grandmother died, she gave up after about 60 odd years off smoking and she was non stop back and fore in hospital a month after giving up,eventually killed her

the 2 visits by the council to check we have correct signage cant be free, neitehr can all the signs put up, even though you have to have lived on mars for the last 6months not to know you cant smoke in enclosed public places (even though you have never been able to smoke in my shop you now have to have a sign to say so)
And did you hear about the supposed boom of sales of nicorette packs etc? Industry meant ot be worth £112bn in next 5years

Well, that is a bit silly to be fair. Like you are allowed to smoke in shops anyway.

Yes.
Nobody has to drink 2 litres of vodka and pick a fight.
Nobody has to snort cocaine.
Nobody has to spend money on pills.
People do, moan about them now please.

aparently they will not need to replace it because they will save on the nhs. imo this wont happen for 10-20 years so what will they do as a quick fix?

Save on the NHS PMSL
Have you ANY idea the amount of taxes smokers pay the government?! A BUCKET load more than its costs them to give them treatment.
The NHS will be at a loss not a gain.

this thread isnt about those people but yes im more than willing to moan about them although most of those examples dont actually effect the general public like smoking does, it goes back to the are you going to ban drinking argument because that also damages your health.
you can have a glass of beer and it wont effect anyone else (unless of course you start a fight or something)
You can snort cocaine and it wont affect anyone else.
You can take pills and it wont affect anyone else.
All bad habits that i dont agree with but still the only person affected is the person doing it, smoking is forced upon everyone in the near vacinity, that is the main problem in my eyes
your argument is flawed

It won't save the NHS more, it'll cost them as they offer a 'free' give up smoking service

I disagree Steve. I think someone getting tanked up and stabbing someone affects the public more than smoking.

lets face it lads what ever you say you cant smoke in the places it tells you, so GET OVER IT!!!!!! stop moaning everyone. Look at it like this places will smell better, when you go clubbing you wont wake up smelling like an ashtray and lets face it if you had a girl smoking and a girl non smoking that looked the same you would go for the non smoker, why??? Cos smoking is disgusting!!! and kissing a smoker is like licking out an ashtray!!! RANK how ever good they might look.
I think not being able to smoke in cars is taking it too far but why should I have to breathe in other peoples smoke. Go out side and do it. Just happens to rain in this country all the time LMAO

they are one off incidents, incidents is all they are.
Drinking and fighting will affect probably 1% of people around them
Smoking will affect everyone around them
