Roll on the smoking ban.

If a smoker is so sad as to not go to a pub just because they can't smoke then they are boring boring people.

Also, nearly all my smoking friends don't smoke whilst eating anyway, infact they detest smoking during eating. So saying custom will drop is ridiculous.

The smoking ban is awesome No more smelling of fags when walking out of a pub/club. And no more red-eye from all the smoke

What about the cancer dave, does that not attract you.

The slow and painfull death from cancer especially, which anyone who has watched somebody dying from it will appreciate.

the benefit of smoking is the taxes produced to help run the country.
I reckon they should put them upto a tenner a pack and knock the tax of petrol.

how do you think the smoking ban will effect other taxes. Not everyone will quit when the pub ban comes in but allot of people will. So the money they loose from smokers quitting will surely have to come from somewhere else. Will they put drinking taxes up or what???

People don't quit.

They just stand outside in the cold and rain instead.

What John said. Which amuses me while I enjoy a game of pool in the pub while they stand outside freezing to death.

yes but those campaigns and treatments will still go on for a long time after the pub ban comes in. I worry that other taxes will rocket up after the first year of the ban.

id put the taxes up on nicotine patches and things like that, may aswell fuck those who are costing the ecconomy.

Aslong as where I go I dont have to put up with smokers Im not bothered if they carry on elsewhere.

Smokers don't actually cost the economy.

They pay so much tax that even taking care of them doesn't come close to what they pay.

They banned smoking in our building at work, they have erected a pitiful looking bus shelter for the smokers. It so funny rolling in at 8am and seeing them shivering their arse's off just to get their nicotine fix

I cant wait for it to get even colder!
