No offence mate but its just a Corsa tbh

Stupid thing to say, it's his pride and joy, doesn't matter what it is

My Corsa is my pride and joy but I would never buy/have a car not to use it everyday. Its pointless!

Different people, different opinions, I wouldn't 'diss' somebody who didn't want to use a car everyday, irrespective if what it is.

Its always been my plan to eventually use it as a second car. I've got no plans to sell it as it has a huge sentimental value to me. I know its only an old S reg Corsa (my mates remind me of this everyday lol) but its a personal thing really. Just think the times right to do it now seeing as its going to be off the road for a good while now while its repaired and eventually has the x16xe fitted so I'll have to buy another car anyway to get about in.

Its been confirmed today that the insurance will not be repairing the car.

I cant belive some of you are saying "re shell it" hahaha wtf? You need your head's seeing to. Hardly any damage tbh, back panels on them are a piece of piss to do! Can have it done in an hour.

From the looks of the pictures it doesnt even need a bumper let alone a boot!!

sorry to hear this shaun. always .oved your corsa, just a shame it's been ran into the back of twice now

hope you get something out of it to cover your costs a little but no one can replace the amount of time you've spent making your car the way it is.

Some good news has finally come guys The insurance assesor came out on saturday to inspect the damage. He said that the insurance company wont want to repair it as suspected. I mentioned that I'd be wanting to repair the car myself so he told me I could try for a Cash in Lieu settlement where they insurance company pays me x amount to fix the car myself. The good thing about this is that the car wouldnt be put on the cat register!

I've just got off the phone with him and they offered me £800 as a settlement to repair the car myself. I've snapped their hand off as it will only cost me £500ish max to fix the car myself, and the cars not being wrote off which was really important for me I'm a happy bunny at the minute!

should have asked for more money mate. no harm in trying.

nice one though hope you get it back on the road soon maybe think of a 2.0 instead of an x16 seein as you'll have a bit more cash from them?
