Sorry to hear about your misfortune mate just one of those things.
From talking to various people (your brother included) the briefing is a joke and they do not set any rules as and where to over take.
Part of the reason i've never been inclined to do Lyden Hill, Even Castle combe in comparison to Brands is quite relaxed IMO
There seems to be quite a few cups being broken recently so you may get lucky with a door hopefully.

Agree, Brands is really strict, combe is quite relaxed but lydden was a joke. Can you point me in the direction of any of these breaking cups mate? Just made a long post on weekend racer about the whole situation by the way. Dont be put off the circuit completey based on the shows organisation, the track is definately worth driving.

Well clerk of the course said they were going to black flag him, they should have fucking black flagged him after he drifted for one lap at most. It just shouldnt be tolerated during public track time unless its a dedicated drift session like they do at combe. Also, only just realised they didnt even ask to see my driving license or anything today.
well there wont be anything you cant do about it now they really wont care, they obviosuly didnt take your complaint serious, hop eyou get your car sorted, and it could have been alot worse! x

i say leave lydden for rallycross only! i dont like drifting so cant say much about that, apparently the drifting is goodon that track, but at least they could have sorted the track time better!

ach its only a door. These things happen if you go on track enough. Law of averages or something. You cant account for other folks stupidity either.
No real harm was done, and its only a bolt on panel! You were lucky

does look like there is a shocking amount of cars out on the track in those last pics
As said if the door opens and shuts ok enjoy the ring and sort it when you are back
I thought the breifing at coombe was a bit of a joke after the good ones at brands. Even when I did the 20min taster session at brands they still sat everyone down and gave a good 20min talk.
Its all worth it in the end.

Im aware of the dangers. My issue is more the fact he wasnt black flagged much earlier, and that it was allowed to happen. See my post on WR.
