its all much of a muchness neither is "better" at everything.

performance wise they all just average for that kind of car these days,

none are sports cars, none are involving to drive, none are drivers cars. They all there to fill a gap in the market. That gap being:

"entry level performance cheap to run room for shopping wife and kids affordable to buy"

And you dont drive men wild as per your profile bit...

But you've still written that dribble too

None are "drivers" cars, girl your talking more sh1t than you did when moaning about getting a vectra on a corsa stand...

Please leave the room, as you've said, just trying to write sh1te, and clearly have no idea what your on about. Your just making yourself look dim.

Im betting you've driven maybe one of the cars mentions on this post, if that...

Performance = average. Damn i knew we should ahve got that 1.6 astra instead, peformance is similar and average.

kidds = 5 door, these are 3 doors.

How to make yourself look really stupid on a car forum in one easy step.

Speak to kerry

you really don't read and are too keen just to voice your opinion, prove people wrong and try to come across as the expert all the time.

Average for that kind of car, Focus ST, VXR, CTR, S3, R32, GTI, all that kind of car, they all have similar performance, i would call that average???? = FACT

The astra VXR isn't better in every aspect compared to the golf and vice versa = FACT

so with regards to the original post (before you all started defending your astras) neither is better, peoples opinons dictate what is best for them

its just people like you and ojc seem to think you own some kind of supercar get over it.

Telling me to leave the room?, trying to offend me?, i think you have issues.

I still disagree sorry, Vauxhall definatly can compete.

The Mk6 Astra & Insigina are only going to improve Vauxhalls standings even further, while VW/Audi continue to churn out the same old dross.

You only have to listen to what James & Matt say to see that VW/Audi have got lazy.

this is just in your head, i think you actually think like that as you bought the astra and saved some money

most people really don't care

Why Jr is just a parts man (No offence James) I work with Vauxhalls all day every day, why does my opinion not matter?

i will still agrue that the a3 (8P) is no better than a golf (1K), and the only reason there is a premium on the A3 is the badge

but that is massively off track

Sorry what? Not being funny but between me and Rach we have spent A LOT of our own cash in the past 3 years, gone from Astra, to Corsa, to Astra, if we were worried about saving cash I would have bought a fucking 1.0 Corsa and stuck with it.

i do however work in the workshop (litrally) and am activly involved in the TPL, recalls and service campain's, not selling paint sticks

hence the reason i can source you stuff off ELSA , where as most parts people wouldnt have a clue, so i would say my involvemnt over the last 5 years in VAG stuff is just as usefull and valid as your opinions on working with brands such as vauxhall

matt and svm are VW techs however, and share the same opinion

Ah, I quite liked it I like the steering wheel in the Insignia.

But then I suppose the new Passat etc is going to have to have a gay dash as well then, if EU regulations say so.

Im no expert, I have my opinion, i've driven most of the cars mentioned, hence I have a good opinion gauged on experience, not what some mag says.

AS for not reading, pot kettle and black springs to mind. AS i've clearly been RAVING about the astra and how great it is, oh wait, no I haven't, i've put its faults and problems.. cough cough

Performance average in that class. Damn women, you really not showing any intelligence here. ANY car that is compared against a comparitve cc car in its class will have similar performance. This goes all the way up top supercar level... What you think a factory 2.0 16v Turbo in a FWD hot hatch class is going to be massivly different. Kerry seiously, do you know ANYTHING about cars here????

And then were back to the "lack of reading" on your part again (irony of you saying it to me is too much ) and sprout on about how im saying the astra VXR is the better car...

Funny, im sure i put on page 1/2 that the Golf is the better road car..

Missed that bit, how much else.

And from your lack of reading, and relevent reply, im guessing you've driven none of the above cars

SO the door still is ---> that way, and i have no issues. Only with silly bints who sprout a load of tripe.

The only usefull bit of information you've added is that a hot hatch will be down to the individuals taste and each car has its own merits.

Oh hold up, i covered that too..

EXIT - > tar tarrrrr

Harsh reply? Possibly, but give such silly un-informative answers, and expect silly point blank replies

why does everyone think civic type r is best hatch it really comes down to what you want from a car, civic for me is like a sportsbike great for when you wanna go quick/have fun etc but for anything else its rubbish.... but sportsbike is the thing to have like civic.....

really you want sports tourer bike so you are more comfortable like honda vfr but cos its not a sportsbike you wont be in the club and will always be deemed as rubbish.... most things today are just for posers anyway
