Oh maybe it is the mini one, but it was taken Monday when I was with Willay going quite slow, I only put a spurt on because a 330bhp ST went past me

If you don't respect it, even for a fraction of a second it will bite you in the arse. No margin for error at the Nurburgring like UK tracks, you make a mistake it's game over.

8 am in the morning - race day on the saturday - pick up on tires not much grip
Basically stupid amounts of grease on the track as was one of the first out following a 3 series going very slow, thought fair enough but he were going stupid slow not even 30 mph as some points and a nissan 200sx came flying by, i over took the bmw and followed the 'apearing' dry line that the 200 was leaving.
Was going fairly quick after this point taking the correct lines but then the track starts to get twistes up the hill about 3 miles in??? (i aint got a clue about names and stuff) and i remember about the 'wet line' i had been told about.
Got to the top and wam tank slapper, but gave it full lock oposite way, then back again and caught it to a complete stop in the middle of the track. That were a sign as it came out of nowhere! So took it fair easy (brakes were still sound as i had concentrated on being smooth more than fast due to the weather so were just nocking down gears as it were adequate for the speed.
Doing good at this point, got to Karussel (sp ?) that made me smile - round i went heading for the apex at the end....got to the corkscrew further up the road???? Come over the brow of the hill, and couldnt of been more than 50mph (was taking it pretty damn easy at this point) and the back end went light it came around again, gave it some oposite lock again but not happening this time (anchored on which was probably worse thing to do) but i started to stop pretty rapid, did the same as before and thought i done ok, then it got into the edge of the track which were even damper and it seemed to accelerate towards the raised curb bit, and onto the grass - steered the car to brush the armco and it took the paint of about 3 inch of my bumper!
First thing i did was check the armco due to the huge price tag but no a mark on it
Bent the steering so the wheel is 90degress of straight but the car runs fine and despit the wheels being at a funny angle - it drove fine all the way home from germany (no wobble of anything) - just thing i have broke so bearings due to going abit to quick on way home up the m1 as i were just dying to get back.
Despite probably me being tight and not having new tries on the back (had 2 new on the front and front grip like a bitch and backs were legal but not good enough for track), and the track being stupid greasy due to the time of morning time of year...........Was a good trip. Stayed in amsterdam friday, and around the ring on saturday and totalled 1237 miles, the car didnt put a foot wrong despite seein a lot of triple figure speeds through germany and it sat at a constant 80 everywhere else!
Few questions - will i get done by the forgien speed camera's got flashed not far from the ring as for some strange reason down the roads i were doing MPH and the limit is obviously in KPH (concentration on the road more than the speed as the roads are capable) when i saw a big red flash
Anyone want to buy a Lap ticket for £10? U2U me
Hope that makes sense - just a quick bit of a story. Im tired - drove over 500 mile today across several countries and im ready for bed!

caio x
O yes Forgot to add - soon as got off the track, i check the tires and lyers of shit like leaves and chewing gum were pealing off and bits of dirft and rubber Alot more damage than UK tracks
And forgot to mension about 5 minutes after i come off the closed the track for while and the ambulance was deployed i were told so might of been a busy morning for the officials

You went on the ring knowing your rear tyres weren't too good?
That's not exactly the best of plans.

Yep that sounds like the Ring alright
Even in the dry part the track is still greasy, I found that out early on the Monday when it first opened. The track just didn't feel right at all compared to Sunday and you could really feel it. Wasn't safe at all.
At least you didn't do to much damage to you, the car or the armco.
