Thats what I thought the test was

The test isn't the problem the question is!

i think the question is fine
people changing is a different matter, like i said it seems people are changing to support there own dumbness when they realise they are wrong

If you don't understand how it works either A ) your fucking stupid B ) you didn't do physics at school and have no idea how 'forces' work and C ) you've mis understood the question and assume the forces would be equal thus holding the plane in position
WATCH THE VID

yes, a plane moving forward at 40mph and the belt spinning the other way at 40mp isn't = force in terms of the planes progression

the way I say it was the convayor was moving at 40 and the plane was moving by force of the prop at 40 mph, and no extra acceleration from the plane was allowed
Im not changing my answer to support my own dumbness, I didnt read the question propperly

if the conveyor was moving at 40mph and the plane was moving at 40mph the plane would be going forwards

if the convayor was moving backwards and the plane was maintaining 40 mph in theory just enough so as it didnt move an inch closer to the end of the convayor
this fucking thread has ruined my night

What if the plane was remote controlled by an annoyed woman whose car door you had previously kicked shut?

cosmo, an annoyed woman is too unpredictable and therefore can't be taken into the equation

also, why are people still arguing. how much more evidence do you want?

We need to get them on a 747 on a conveyor belt

quickly skimmed this thread and its probably been said already but:
everyone seems to forget that for the aeroplane to take off air must flow over the wings to generate lift..
now if there is a conveyer belt travelling at the same speed as the aeroplane is going but in the oposite direction, the plane isnt moving forward and thus no air is travelling over the wings..
