i got a credit card. max of £200, they offered me a £4,000 one no thanks!!!
£200 is fine, use for emergancy's

I used to have £10,000 limit across 3 cards. Just got the 1 now with £3,500 limit but pay off whatever I use straight away

I only got my credit card last year, got the limit taken back down to 1k cause I didnt want the risk... then got a capital one credit card with cash back with a 7.5k limit.
I pay off my bill every month without fail, I only use it for security in case my card gets cloned. Wouldnt want to go through my debit card being raped

I've seen one with that free APR untill Feb 2009 and then the APR goes to 12.1 or something.
I only need it basically to try and improve my credit rating

Don't go there people.
I managed to spunk £8k across 4 cards in 2 years between 18 and 20 coupled with 2 loans I ended up paying out almost £900 p/month until daddy bailed me out
Fair enough if you're sensible with money and use them for emergencies or know you aint gonna just keep upping your limit etc. They certainly aren't for everyone.
I have none now.

i got refused because they say idont ahve a credit status...and basically my money goes out quite quickly...jus need to build up direct debits and make a status! lol
im not to bothered i cant get one... to much hassle/..and i dont like debt!... i just manage my monthly direct debits fine....
ive not bougt myself somthing for ages..only car stuff... i need to go waste like £300 on clothes one month! lol have not done that for like over a year .....
