The scotland thing aside, end of day hes a cute pretty boy and that always helps.

His sob story was "his mum brought him up alone" awww didums, so did millions of other mums in the country/world ffs.

As said before, he's had no coaching like the other 2

I'd say with a small percentage of the coaching the other 2 had he'll be even better,

Rhydian was a damned good singer i saw it a couple of weeks back, but he was wierd, looked funny, and that isn't what they wanted as 'The X Factor'

But he'll have a career of his own,

But I do genuinely hope Same Difference dissapear into Insignificance

In all seriousness scotland is still bitter about being made to join the union (united kingdom) after several attempts to colonise failed and they got themselves into loads of financial woes

They sent a ship to panama to try and take over the major shipping routes or something and sent them (to the jungle) with loads of warm clothes and no mosquito spray

We bailed them out and they had to join the union with a country they hated.

I agree.

Im not sure how succesful he will be, he tries to be a crooner like sinatra but the package just doesnt fit together for me. The first week i saw him perform fly me to the moon i was ROFLMFAO around the room, its like he was trying really hard to put on a sinatra voice.

He will need a good couple of singles and a blinder of an album or he will fade away just like yoda did when 900 years old i am.

They were all wank anyway.
Last year Leona was obviously talented, these were best of a bad bunch.

I think toms point is that there is a long standing feud going back 100`s of years and scotland appears to still be bitter. I get the impression scots really dont like the english and it seems to be getting worse all the time.

classic if cliched example:

Scotland play a foreign nation in a world cup, guarantee you that a lot of english people (myself included) will get behind scotland.

england play any kind of international, scotland will get behind teh other team and put every bit of passion they have into hoping england will lose

The act of the union was signed in 1707, Scotland where forced into it because they lost 400,000 on the Darien scheme, which at the time was about a third of Scotland wealth.

Scotland where bankrupt as a country, the only benfiet for England was Scotland would not choose a different monarch, and thus the king/queen would always be Protestant

99% of Scotland where against this union but had no choice.

I agree with this to some extetent. IMO there was some affect on the results by "patriotic voting" but still not enough to make a huge difference.

I only watched one episode and personally I didn't think much of that Leon guy after hearing him sing BTW i had no Idea he came from scotland. I personally thought rhydian o'r the incest twins would win

Oh- about the English being sore losers; Every time a before football/rugby whatever game and after- specially lost theres always a 10 page spread in the news papers for about who's fault it is, Bearing in mind the team in question's performance is never blamed

Sorry did you not reply and say i'm talking poop?

And now your backtracking because it's true

I'm saying that tongue in cheek but there is a long standing reason why some scots dislike english and I'd say even now it;s more to do with history than the way england as a country conducts itself these days.

I don't like the x factor show this year tbh as said last year was much better quality imo but get a grip of yourself you don;t even know what point your trying to argue you are just making a half attempt to 'have a go' about england when basically all SetH said was that a winner of a talent comp didn't really deserve to win on merit.

Are you including rhydian in that statment? You must be tone death if you think as a singer he is 'wank'. I thought nikki was by far the best female, but obviously not in leonas league.

If they do this again next year surley the standard will be worse yet again, there must be a limit to the talent pool. I mean the 14yr olds got no where this year so theres not even any new blood around so to speak.

Not always true, some people dont get the lucky break. It took KT Tunstall 10 years of singing in clubs iirc.

I don't personally like rhydian. I accept he is a good singer but he will never do anything in the genre I like, plus I think he's a bit less humble than he puts across.

I am annoyed by the fact we will get yet more regurgitated rubbish from an average singer now. Where's the creativity gone? I think the world would be a better place without all these competitions.Kids are growing up wanting to 'win the xfactor' not be musicians.

i dont know how anyone can say that this is a "win for scotland" (radio stations etc), what has scotland gained out of another cunt who sings song other people have writen for them

i can think of much better places a £1Million record contract could go to, as there are plenty of real musicians with real tallent, not a load of fucking jazz covers

countries should never have been brought into it, by the show or by any one else as it had no relevance at all

rhydian was in a different class the whole series but imho leon was better on that final show

So you didn't see the Scottish guy balls all of his performances up then go on to win anyway then. I see we're both in the same educated position here.

That works both ways mate. I know just as many English people who wish defeat upon Scotland as I do the other way. I for one couldn't give a flying toss about Xfactor. A lad with an average voice beat an Opera singer and an incest couple. At the end of the day it's a repeat of Gareth Gates and Will Young. Leon will get a bit of limelight for a short period then disappear as fast as he got here, with Rydian going on to do big things. There is no real point to this reply but I'm bored so thought I'd pick out a couple of arguments in this thread and give my opinion
