One of my first times up the strip, i did a burnout up to the lights and my car died Tried starting it and it just wouldn't for shit. Had to be pushed off the line infront of loads of people, felt like a complete tit Turned out that one of my spark plug leads had jolted of the dizzy cap. Stuck it back on and went up the strip. Nothing major's ever happened to me tho touch wood.

My mate did 5 runs at the Pod about a month or so back, at a Run What You Brung day. On the 5th run he smashed the gearbox to peices, ripped the clutch apart, and even bent the rod that goes from the gearbox to the actual gearstick in the car, i went to the garage with him to see it and the gearbox was in about 10 peices. When the AA came to get him, they refused to go in the pod, so he had to have it towed outside of the gates by some guy in a 4x4.

It was a Clio 172 by the way, cost him just short of £1k to get repaired! Not bad for a day out at the pod.
