I'm after a Nova GSi at the moment for our runaround, there are NONE on Autotrader, its gonna be a case of having to get the local free ads and hoping one pops up with some MOT on it.

There is a lad i talk to a bit, who lives in the next town where i work, and he has a redtop nova, stripped out, 2 cobra bucket seats, 5point harness, full roll cage, spare wheel bolted to the floor, and race netting behind the seats, carbon fibre sheets for the door cards, no stereo, or heating, all stripped out. i will get pics as and when i can. normally only see him when its dark tho

There aren't that many Nova's in general on Autotrader.

Most people put them on eBay - there aren't even many on eBay

Not quite

I pretty much always wanted a Black GSi, but then when that Yellow SR came up on Ebay, and I needed a car, I actually HAD to buy it

I paid well over the odds for it really, but I needed to have it

There are always a few on NL, so it's a good place to look

4k maybe more maybe a little less, but over 3 years remember not all in one go which when you think about it is nothing, I spent 7k on my Corsa SXi and that was hardly a transformation.

all part of the appeal

in the space of a year the 1.2 nova i had went from everything working till-

(was skint and couldnt really afford to maintain it and put money into the xe project so didnt bother much with the nova)

all shocks fucked
broke a bottom arm
no indicators
no brake lights
no reverse lights
holes in chassis legs
needed a steering rack (without being hit etc)
ate bearings regularly

(in the end i swapped it for a battery powered welding mask which i regret now but couldnt have it sittin about doing nothin)

Two new wings, two new arches, new bumpers, new skirts, new interior, new glass, nothing is original on the car, not a single thing.

No m8, mine is a standard smoke grey GSi with black 16" Softstars, lowered on Koni adjustables and with a satin black Mongoose backbox

EDIT: My old Nova GSi is in there though, in the PV secion I think, Silver, grey 16" Softstars, J187 MNL reg plate.
I think my 1.6 Twin 40'd black Nova might also be in my Photobucket somewhere aswell, black MK1 on black 15" TSW Evo 7 spokes C702 MJB
