mx-5 gets my vote!great to drive and pretty quick for what they are. 1.8 s sounds pretty beefy as well!

they say the mx5's are an absolute hoot to drive, and it has that girlie desire, my mates bird has the new mini in black, me and him spent 2 weeks looking for one, travelled everywhere, we found her a black cooper with white roof/mirrors, and the 17" S wheels, all for £10,000!!!!!!!!!!! How can you compare £10k's worth of car to £4000!!!!! Unless they have dropped their value a considerable amount as the cheapest we found were £8k!!

But Jade driving round Scotland in an MX5, with the roof down, in december, would definitely have the X-Factor. IMO.
