no-one within 3 foot of Gallas for that goal, assuming Gerrard was meant to be with him.
Overall pretty solid performance from Arsenal, and they finally had goals coming from somewhere. Henry was pretty inconspicuous again from what i saw though.
Zenden seemed to have the only chances Liverpool created, so Arsenal weren't ever really threatened. Although Bellamy was unlucky stepping half a yard offside

Oh that really does taste sweet.
Im going to sit back and wait for Cosmos excuses. TBH you are more than welcome to beat us in the League Cup. I think that is the only trophy you'll be winning this season.

We have qualified for the CL next stage already...so technically have more of a chance of winning that trophy than Arsenal...
Anyway no excuses from me...we simply never played today..arsenal were far from there best (reading performance) but played well none the less...
Henry didnt do much I thought...clichy played well though

Another good performance from us!
Liverpool defending shocking to say the least!
Zenden, Hyppia and Riise just standing still
Bellamy a bit unlucky but they didn't show the replay enough to see whether Clichy was playing him onside... did seem to eb though!
Fair play to ref and lino's who all had a blinder!!

Yes he worked hard but I dont think it was a "vintage" Henry performance...
We missed Momo's presence today...and to think how young he is...he can only get better...

As a liverpool fan i hate to say it but we were shi!e today,
Well done arsenal and those people who say Henry didnt do much i think if he hadn't have tracked back like he has maybe Liverpool could have scored.
I still dont say Liverpool are out of the title race but its going to be really really hard to get back into it now, even though we have played our hardest 4 maybe 5 games.
Them being:
chelsea - away!
man utd - away!
arsenal - away!
everton - away!
bolton - away!
never mind, congratulations arseanal you deserved the win on the day...

Aye, werent good enough today.
Okay we created some chances but we were nothing like the Liverpool last season.
The only thing that I can look on as a positive now is that we have played our 4 hardest away games already...Everton, Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal...but 0 points from those isnt good enough.

The 3rd goal is an interesting one. I think its the whole zonal vs man marking issues. There are two scenarios
1) They Zonal mark so Rise was on Gallas and Gerrard on Henry but as soon as Gallas went inside he should be Gerrards man
2) They man mark and Rise just let his man go.
I have a feeling it was in fact 1 but gerrard sort of forgot it was zonal marking as he was close to Henry so was there ready to stop him rather than his 'area'
