The truth about islam
^^Makes for a good read!!
I think muslims are a total different breed of human beeing than us (us being western civilization) & they should not migrate here unless they are prepared to accept to follow our ways of life & accept out rules!
As for fasting....sounds very pointless to me & a pain in the ass....glad im not part of it

but a lot of muslims are english. its a religion, not a 'race'.
religion shouldnt be basis for segregation. anyone should be entitled to believe what they want, where they want.

fasting is not only about not eating...it has a lot more than this, some people just won't understand or can't because they don't have enough grey matter.
and the truth about islam doesn't lie on the internet or your beliefs...
Read, Think, Learn and then you comment

Plus i can find loads of quotes in the bible that have the same effect as that blog.
And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.”
- Revelation, 9/5
That being one.

i can understand your point of views regarding terrorists and getting my views from the Sun, fair enough, but the original post wasnt about terrorists or bombings it was about my inability to understand why fasting and eating meat that is halal is considered logically something that a someone is required to do?
I even questioned him about people with diabetes what they are meant to do, and he said if your sick like that your exempt, surely noone should be exempt as it throws the whole ritual out the window
i suppose what im really after is what are the reasons behind it, i dont understand what is being proven by doing such things, i need enlightening? is it to show your dedication or something?

Its to help you appreciate all that you have in life, the fact you happily eat 3 meals a day, aren't on the verge of starvation etc....
Some people are not so fortunate, this ritual helps you to see things through their eyes and endure a (relatively) small amount of suffering so you can better appreciate you own circumstances.

of course its linked to Muslims, thats a religion isn't it? I am not personally pointing out any religion specifically as imo they are all as stupid as the next one, my fundimental arguement is based that most if not all are based around a fictional character. It's false hope, propagada used to rule x amount of people. etc. For me living in this day and age i can't get my head around why people can be so naive.
I admit allot have valid teachings that are used to help kids learn and grow up, just can't understand how alot of people revolve their lives around it, some even dictated to, ie you must prey at this time and that time.

your opinion is not always right. especially if you talk about things you haven't even read about, learned about, looked into its depth and more.
many people believe in the Big Bang but yet don't know what it is and whether it actually took place and what was there before the Big Bang is all a matter of speculations. It's only a theory which apparently might be classed as fictitious. And yet many believe in it.

Yes there are lots of people who say 'im entitled to my opinion'.
If your opinion isn't based on any sort of fact or research towards the subject and just totally made up then yes it is your opinion but imo not at all valid.

until there is proof that these characters ever existed, they will remain on par with Mickey Mouse in my mind. My opinion, which makes sense to me.

@ this post.. I have a muslim who sits next to me. Hes a really nice bloke..
Funny enough, the lass who sits behined him also is fasting this month. He was telling me all about it earlier, what they can and cannot do etc.
Good theorys, can't say i agree with them all, but i respect them as it what they believe in. Some very narrow minded people on here.
A religion doesn't always define who a person is. Im not religios at all, but have an interest, if the information is given, about other peoples religions, what they do, the differences (and similarities etc).
Again, everyone has different views. There will be users on here with no religion, some muslims, some christians, some jews, and all will ahve a different way of doing things.

Same can be said for any religion...you just believe what people preach to you but is their any hard facts any of it is true??
Your entitled to believe in religion just as much as steve (or anyone for that matter) is entitled to have an opinion on it so yes it is all valid!!

I wasn't talking about religions but religion is all about having faith.
There might not be any original factual proof but I would still hope you had taken the time to learn about your religion and others so then you would have something to base your opinion on.
